- Create and Manage Technical Quotes: The primary responsibility will be to create and manage accurate technical quotes for projects, ensuring all necessary documentation and technical specifications are included.
- Issue Accurate Proposals: You will ensure that each proposal is timely and precise, with all relevant technical details and documentation for each quotation.
- Collaborate with Business Developers: You will work closely with the business development team to prioritise and qualify incoming enquiries, ensuring the quoting process meets client requirements and deadlines.
- Customer Support: You will provide technical support for all incoming enquiries, following up on quotes under £10k and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Quote Accuracy and Margin Control: You will ensure quote accuracy and work to minimise margin erosion by conducting thorough technical clearance, validating details, and confirming that the pricing is correct.
- Order Processing and Administration: You will process sales orders in the CRM system, cross-checking with quotes and handling administrative tasks associated with quote acceptance.
- Experience in Estimation and Technical Support: Experience in creating and managing technical quotes in a busy office environment, ideally within the construction, technical or security industries.
- Technical Acumen: You should have a solid understanding of technical systems and the ability to read and understand construction drawings (preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential to ensure the accuracy of every quote you handle.
- Customer-Focused: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and provide clear technical support.
- Proficient in MS Office & CRM: You should be proficient in MS Office and have experience using CRM systems (preferred).
- Organised & Efficient: Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
- Commercial Awareness: A good understanding of pricing, value propositions, and the ability to create competitive quotes will set you apart.
