What You'll Achieve As A Power Systems Engineer
- Design and optimise resilient power distribution systems for large-scale data centre facilities
- Deliver load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, and earthing studies that drive real engineering decisions
- Translate complex simulation outputs into clear reports that shape project design
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to solve high-stakes power engineering challenges
- Progress toward Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status with structured mentorship and support
- Degree in Power Engineering or equivalent (BEng/MEng)
- Experience in power systems engineering — data centre, oil & gas, or utilities backgrounds welcomed
- Proficiency in ETAP (preferred), DIgSILENT, or SKM simulation software
- Working knowledge of LV, MV, and ideally HV systems up to 33 kV
- Understanding of generators, transformers, motors, and UPS systems
- Working towards MCIBSE, MIET, or Chartered Engineer status
- Strong analytical mindset with clear communication skills
- Familiarity with BS standards and MS Office tools
- Fully supported path to Chartered/Incorporated Engineer registration
- Work on landmark, technically complex data centre projects
- Collaborative and specialist engineering team environment
- Flexible UK office locations — London, Bicester, or Newcastle
- Exposure to international projects within a global consultancy
