According to a press release from the UK government, £300m funding has been allocated to the technology sector to invest in AI research with aims to make the UK a global leader in technology. The new funding follows on from the commitment made in the government’s modern Industrial Strategy and its AI Grand Challenge, aiming to help the UK seize £232bn opportunity that AI offers to the UK economy by 2030.
