Katie Parker

Account Executive

Sector: IT Technical

Specialises in: IT Technical roles (Developers, Support, SAP, Security, Testers, BAs, PMs etc.)

Interesting fact: I’m launching my own blog, writing for recruiters and candidates about advice, news, and industry issues. Check back here for the link once its live!

Recruiter Biography:

Similar to many other Recruiters, my story in Recruitment began when I fell into it, after becoming bored with the lack of challenge and pace of administration and customer service roles I had been working in, since graduating with a First Class degree in Event and Tourism Management from University Campus Suffolk in 2014.

I fell in love with the target driven environment, the ability to achieve by how much work I put in, and the power to make a positive difference to candidate’s lives, becoming fully involved in their story.

After spending my first year in Recruitment as a Resourcer with an agency in the IT sector, I have now joined Eligo Recruitment and am completing training in their Eligo Academy whilst Resourcing across their various sectors. I’m excited to have access to more tools to improve my service to candidates even further!

I enjoy a challenge and thrive at putting together a Sourcing strategy, exploiting all available resources to overcome obstacles thrown at me. I curiously explore, innovate and furiously try idea after idea, with a relentless focus on the Candidate and Client in order to improve results and quality of service in Recruitment.

When I'm not Resourcing you can find me at the gym working up a sweat hitting the treadmill and regularly practising Pilates, reading books and blogs for content inspiration, learning Dutch & French, browsing for travelling ideas and binge-watching Netflix.
