Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Infrastructure | South Africa Location: Johannesburg Salary: ZAR 800,000 – 1,200,000 per year
Job Description A rapidly expanding data center provider in South Africa is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support cooling system design and operations.
Design and maintain HVAC and cooling systems
Optimize airflow and thermal management strategies
Support CFD analysis and system modeling
Ensure compliance with local and international standards
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
5 years’ experience (data center experience advantageous)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
