Position Overview:

As the Event Portfolio Director, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of 121 events, globally. This is a unique opportunity to lead a talented team of 22 professionals covering operations, sales, marketing, and content. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the overall success and growth of their events division.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management: Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of a comprehensive events portfolio.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a high-performing team of 22 individuals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in operations, sales, marketing, and content to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.
  • Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies, leveraging your expertise in the events industry.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of event execution, ensuring exceptional experiences for both clients and attendees.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and implement innovative ideas to enhance event offerings and stay ahead of the competition.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role within the 121/Conference industry.
  • Team Management: Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional teams of at least 22 individuals.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the events industry, including emerging trends and best practices.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to drive business growth.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
