Joint security strategy for UK & Saudi Arabia

 

Fire & Security Jobs and Industry news: Joint security strategyUnited Kingdom & Saudi Arabia have confirmed and reinforced the relations between the two countries, and committed to developing a deeper and more strategic partnership to enhance mutual interests. Both sides reiterated the importance of the defence and security relationship for mutual security and regional stability. They celebrated a defence partnership of over half a century of cooperation on issues such as countering terrorism, developing joint capabilities and strengthening regional security. The two countries have also agreed to increase cooperation on aviation security.

Newest acquisitions by Securitas

Latest aquisitions news within Fire & Security IndustrySecuritas has announced two new acquisitions, one either side of the Atlantic, the first being the division Kratos Public Safety and Security from Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. in the States, and the other, Alphatron Security Systems, further strengthening the company’s technology capabilities in the Netherlands.  These transactions mean that Securitas has now already made five acquisitions before the completion of the first quarter of 2018. “This acquisition supports Securitas´ global strategy and strengthens our position as the global knowledge leader in protective services”.

CCTV junior engineer jobs & News: The success of college apprentices in a national engineering competitionA college-led skills competition for apprentices has been hailed a huge success by industry leaders, after four students won a sponsored place to a prestigious national engineering competition. New College Lanarkshire hosted its annual Electrical Fire and Security Skills Challenge to coincide with Scottish Apprenticeship Week from 5-9 March. Over 30 Electronic Fire and Security modern apprentices competed in the two-day challenge, travelling from as far as Aberdeen and Dumfries to attend the specialist facilities in the College’s Motherwell Campus. They were challenged with taking on a variety of tasks in two stages – fire alarm installation and intruder alarm installation.

IFSEC 2018: Security summits and masterclasses
