Business Development Executive - Fire Alarms, Security Systems

I am seeking a seasoned 'Security Systems' Business Developer with a proven sales track record of selling Intruder Alarms, CCTV systems, Fire Alarms, Access Control systems plus maintenance bolt ons ideally residing in and around the M25 area for a very good client of mine who are a Security Specialist (the business consists of a combination of Manned & Physical Security and Electronic Security). They are based in Surrey.

Overview of the business:

Manned & Physical Security Division is turning over around £10m, been going strong for around 25 years.

Electronic Security Division: Currently turning around £1M. The Electronic Security Division has only been going for the last 3 years, a rather new entity to the business.

They have exciting plans for growth over the 5 years. The plans are to grow the electronic security division especially in the commercial environment.

Looking for:

An experienced Sales Professional with a good sales track record of selling electronic security systems to B2B and B2C clients - SME's, retail etc.

Details of role:

  • Paying between £30k to £35k base salary
  • OTE - £50K
  • Company car - High spec BMW or something similar
  • Target - £20k to £40k per month (element of flexibility here)
  • Idea of 1st years achievement £250k, 2nd year circa £400k
  • Lots of support in the sense of an established/large database to utilise and go at.
  • A regular flow of hot leads

Electronic Security Division additional information:

  • Electronic Security Division currently consists of 4 engineers plus sub-contractors.
  • 90% Domestic (High End Residential, average value of contracts nothing under £1M), ranging from £5k to £25k
  • 10% Commercial (SME's), average value of contracts ranging from £50k to £100k.
  • Current Geographical coverage: S.E over to the S.W of the UK.

Summary:

My client requires a dynamic/high achiever Business Development Executive to sell Intruder Alarms, CCTV systems, Fire Alarms, Access Control systems or full system integration packages AND maintenance bolt ons to B2B and B2C clients.

Looking for a big push in the commercial arena but nothing too big to begin with, ideally system sales with maintenance bolt ons to SME's, retail, local authorities, office buildings etc.
