Senior QA Tester (Manual/Automation/API/Perl/Linux/MySQL/NoSQL/Solr)
It's easy to find articles discussing the importance of test automation and the death of manual testing.
So easy, in fact, that it might discourage many great testers or future testers.
The truth is: manual testing is still important and will continue to be important.
As a tester, you need to understand what should be tested and what should be given less priority, what should be automated and what should be tested manually, which task should be taken up first and what can be done at last moment.
Once you are master of defining priorities, software testing becomes easy, right?
We are on the hunt for a QA Analyst with the above skillset - someone who has a solid background in manual testing and QA of websites, Agile methodology and executing RESTful APIs.
With a number of years' experience under your belt, you will able to define priorities, switch between tasks effortlessly in an Agile way, strive for continuous improvement by taking on criticism, and thrive in a close-knit team environment.
As this role involves about 20% Automation testing, it would also be beneficial to have some experience of writing and executing automated test scripts, and knowledge of automation testing to help the business improve their test automation platform.
Other desirable knowledge and exposure includes web technologies such as Perl, MySQL, NoSQL, Solr and Linux.
Other perks of the role include working with a great supportive close-knit team, who encourage each other to succeed and rise to each other's full potential.
Work-life balance is encouraged and employees are swiftly kicked (nicely) out of the door come the end of the day. There are regular company socials, free lunches, a relaxed dress code and a fridge stocked with Coke, Diet Coke and free fruit (who doesn't like a balanced diet?).
Furthermore, there are always new projects, features, partners (and therefore new APIs) being launched to get your teeth into and new technology is at the forefront of the business - so you are likely to get exposure to the latest tech.
Interested? You should be! Roles based in London and Fleet - please get in touch with Katie at Eligo for more info.
