Security Systems Surveyor/Account Manager

We're ambitious. We set out to turn £2.5 million turnover into a £5 million one over the next few years and push on from there. We want to be a Top-100 Employer. We want to move to new hi-tech offices. We have detailed plans in place to achieve all that and are already on track. This newly created job and you'll be a key part of building on our success.
A new role in a new sales team.
This is one of two new roles to help our sales team take the company to the next level. You'll report to the person who was doing this job before so they'll have realistic expectations. They know the turf. They'll signpost the shortcuts, point out the pitfalls and give you the benefit of their experience. The rest is up to you.
The sales team will do all the cold calling, the qualification, the difficult conversations and front all the rejection. When a project arrives at your desk it will be from a client that has bought into the business. You will then be responsible for scoping the requirement, choosing the best products in the industry, putting together the designs with the help of the internal team and ultimately delivering a solution that blows the clients' expectations out of the water!
You will also get paid a % of the value as a thank you for your help.
No barriers to what you can achieve
We don't put barriers in the way of you building on these relationships and spotting opportunities for the business to make more sales, we will pay you a % of every opportunity you uncover, but we don't expect you to replace our sales team, only to help them deliver more and more.
Sales here isn't a silo. We'll expect you to share skills and ideas with your colleagues. Over time, you can earn responsibility and grow the role.

We're product agnostic. We won't sell clients products they don't need just because there's a good margin on it. Our approach is very personal: you'll need to think like a client, understand their needs then find security technology, services and solutions that meet (or better still beat) them.
We follow an EOS process - it means that everyone in the business understands their role in achieving our goals. There are regular catch-ups. We share good ideas. And we work with a smile on our face.
Enough about us - what about you?
You don't have to have worked in this exact capacity before but you need convincing potential - ideally in the security field. Maybe you are an engineer looking to use your technical knowledge in a different way? Perhaps you are in Project Management and looking for a more varied role?
