Senior Exhibition Operations Executive required for a very well known Exhibition Organiser/Publisher based in West Sussex, these guys produce a large number of B2B shows in the UK.

The Senior Operations Executive's role is to take operational responsibility for many aspects of the planning and successful delivery of the Shows within the clients portolio. They will be responsible for interacting with the venue, contractors, suppliers, sponsors, partners, exhibitors and their staff to ensure that these important elements are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed specifications.

Excellent communication and presentation skills - excellent telephone manner and good command of spoken and written English

Thorough knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel & Database Management
Be able to work as part of all teams - Operations, Exhibitions Department and with all contractors to put on a seamless Show.
Possess patience and understanding and ability to cope under pressure
Confidence and experience in working to deadlines
Flexible working attitude - additional hours in the run up to the Shows
Confidence and ability to run their own Show - pre-site and on-site in the Organisers Office
Ability to put together a budget and keep operating costs within this budget and come up with ideas on how savings can be made so that budgets can be cut wherever possible
The role of Senior Operations Executive requires a solid proven track record (at least 2 - 3 years of exhibition experience) organising large-scale Exhibitions in either the Public or Trade sectors. Experience in controlling budgets, tendering, negotiating and managing contractors is essential. Requires an IOSH qualification, experience of managing health & safety with the ability to develop and operate emergency plans. Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
