A new report from the job board Indeed has found that approximately a third of job seekers would take career advice from a robot. For younger jobseekers, half of (48%) under 35 believe that automation will help make recruitment less biased and as many as a third (36%) think removing humans entirely from the process will solve the problem.

According to RebelLabs’s 2017 Developer Productivity Report, developers cite Kotlin as the number one too they are most excited to use in 2017, followed by Docker, Java 9, Spring, Angular, Java EE 8, Spring 5, Java 8, Kubernetes and React. The report focuses on why developers use certain tools over others and how satisfied they are in their selection of those tools, architecture, and other aspects of development.

New research from Tech London Advocates, which has more than 5,000 members who are start-up founders, has found that more than half 55 percent believe access to talent is the biggest threat to the flourishing technology sector. The research also shows that 61 percent of Brexit founders believe Brexit has already damaged London’s international reputation as centre for Tech.

WordPress 4.9 has arrived WordPress 4.9 has arrived

WordPress 4.9 has debuted, and this time the world’s most popular content management system has given developers plenty to like. Some changes are arguably overdue from syntax highlighting and error checking for CSS editing to cutting custom HTML. The new release has also added version 4.2.6 of MediaElement.js, an upgrade that WordPress.org’s release notes stated has removed dependency on jQuery, improves accessibility, modernises the UI and fixes many bugs.
