The intelligent digital mesh is a foundation for future digital business and ecosystems, IT leaders must factor these technology trends into their innovation strategies or risk losing ground to those that do.

3bn Yahoo users’ details were leaked in a hack

Yahoo admitted that all 3bn of its accounts were hacked in a 2013 hack, which is three times more than its earlier estimate of the largest data breach in history. The hack which took place in August 2013 was first disclosed in December 2016 with the group saying only 1bn of its users’ information may have been compromised. However, the company has recently obtained new intelligence and now believes following an investigation with the assistance of outside forensic expert, that all Yahoo user accounts were affected by the 2013 attack.

Skype has launched a new preview feature which aims to help technical interviews be conducted more seamlessly. The feature enables a video call to be placed on top of a code editor, meaning interviews and their prospective candidates do not have to switch between two applications.

According to The Linux Foundation, which released its sixth annual summary of career opportunities in open source last week found that there is a lack of trained job takers in open source. The report provides an overview of open source career trends, along with factors that motivate industry professionals and methods employers use to attract and retain qualified talent. This year’s survey of more than 280 hiring managers and more than 1,800 open source professionals around the globe uncovered a growing need for open source talent in the already highly competitive market.
