Tom Townsend Tech Contract Jobs Recruitment

Sector: Technology

Specialises in: Contract Recruitment for Developers across Mobile, Software, and Web

Interesting fact: I once ate 7 Fabs in a row.

Recruiter Biography:

With over 5 years’ experience as a Contract Recruiter in Technology, I have placed iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Xamarin, .NET, Python, Front End, UX (designers), AEM (CQ5), JavaScript (ReactJS), Gaming (Phaser), CMS (Magnolia, Sitecore), PHP, and Java software engineers & technical leads (including Scrum Masters) into long and short term contracts.

Clients worked with include companies within the digital media & advertising, online gaming, software consultancy, start up, financial services, pharmaceutical, entertainments, mobile money and payments industries.

I also work with organisations with no real IT presence who have a specific need i.e. mobile apps. I pride myself on finding the perfect fit for the hard to fill developer job roles that existing suppliers aren't able to fill and I'm therefore able to offer contractors projects unavailable to the majority of the market.

contract developer jobs

The life of a developer contractor comes with superior earning potential than that of a permanent employee, and other perks such as flexible hours, and being your own boss. These benefits often compensate the potential negatives, namely; the lack of a regular stable income, and job security.   Whilst some contractors develop excellent relationships with specific clients, the uncertainty about where the next contract developer opportunity is coming from often still remains.
