Michael Lay Open Source Recruitment Specialist

Sector: Technology

Specialises in: Python and Ruby Development roles

Interesting fact: I was raised in Africa where I rode elephants, had a pet rhino and partied with the warthogs.

Recruiter Biography:

After relocating to the UK from South Africa in 2014 I have since established myself in the technology recruitment sector.

I pride myself on exceptional quality – understanding the open source market, being fully aware of what my clients do as a business and the technology stack they work with from Python to Ruby, as well as knowing what they look for in candidates.

I enjoy listening to what people want in their next role, providing them with the opportunities that will take them to the next level in open source development.  It’s been a great pleasure to watch people excel when they are exposed to the right technology environment. On top of this, I have a genuine passion and drive for the open source market and cannot wait to see where technology will take us over the coming years!
