Head of Delegate Acquisition - Commercial Events working for a very well known Publisher/Conference organiser based in London. These guys are truely one of the best publishers in the UK, they specialise in the Financial sector with over 200+ events here in the UK and worldwide. Their conferences and strategic forums organised every year gather pre-eminent public and private sector decision-makers, visionaries and strategists from the world's most important economies and industries for agenda-setting debates that cover the key issues of their time.

The division within this company is one of the most successful and fastest-growing divisions, and is at the forefront of the companies accelerated development as an essential, interactive information source across numerous platforms, including print, internet, mobile, video and live events.

They are currently recruiting for the role of Head of Delegate Acquisition -Commercial Events based in the London office.

This is an exciting opportunity to share in the growth and development of one of the leading global conference providers.

In this role you will:

Work closely with the marketing team to help prioritise and drive activities that will support achievement of revenue goals

Be responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing development of the team including appraisals and regular reviews including call listening for quality assurance

Have responsibility for a sales development executive and prioritise their activities to support sales growth

Develop and maintain customer relationships including handling queries

Ensure the team fully utilise the variety of sales tools available e.g Salesforce, sales training

Be knowledgeable of the value proposition for each sector, keep up to date with market & competitor developments and ensure there is clarity and confidence amongst the team

Produce regular sales reports together with forecasts and budgets as required against agreed KPI's

Contribute to discussions regarding product, pricing and process developments because of customer feedback

Make sure the team document all sales activity in Salesforce, follow up all leads in a timely manner and keep opportunities updated with regards to likely close dates

Ensure an effective and positive team atmosphere through excellent management and regular communication

Requirements for the role:

Previous telesales experience, experience in managing a large team, good verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Detail oriented, with a strong desire to succeed. Must have 5 to 7 years experience either from an established Conference organiser or a Publisher to be put forward for this exciting role
