Conference Producer for a 1 year contract, possibility of going permanent working for a very well known and established Insitution within the Engineering sector.
Working as part of the Production Team offers you the opportunity to participate in a stimulating exchange of ideas and experience. Based in London you will be part of the team that supports their members, helping to create the structures and systems that sustain society.
Duties and responsibilities
Project manage to ensure the successful delivery of a range of events for the company, including:
Write relevant, up to date, targeted event programmes
Securing and liaising with high level speakers
Ensuring relevant attendees are identified and targeted
Monitor the engineering events industry to ensure their events are market leaders, including networking with potential speakers and sponsors
Work with expert engineering communities to generate and facilitate quality event and programme ideas
What they are looking for?
You will need to be a self-starter with:
Excellent research and investigation skills
Listening and questioning skills with ability to develop editorial independence
Ability to build a rapport with people at any level either in person or on the phone
Ability to generate content and original ideas
Good copy writing skills
Researching and developing high quality programmes within a conference , policy, live event or editorial environment
At least 2 - 3 years of experience in a production, research, policy or editorial
Experience of working in a membership organisation would be an advantageous but not essential
The client wants someone with proven B2B conference production experience, they will consider someone coming from an Insitute or an Association background as long as their production experience is commercial. Ideally 2 years experience from another organiser. Opportunity for the role to become permanent.
